The goal of The Faith-ing Project is to enrich your spiritual life. Our hope is that this might be a gymnasium for the soul; a library for the spirit; and a toy store for the psyche.
On this page, you can expect to find information about specific spiritual exercises. If you are interested in more general information about building your spiritual practice, click here.
You are not alone.
So many of us are unsettled by the current landscape. There are threats to our physical health, our personal connections, our access to material needs. At these times fear can seem like our default response. A contemplative stance is the antidote to this fear. There are 3 steps we are doing to help alleviate fear and isolation at this strange time:
#1) We have just released episode number 2 of ‘The Open a Hand: A Faith-ing Project Podcast.” Listen to that here.
#2) One place that a group of relevant practices are gathered is The Book of Gratitude, Grief, and Love. The prices on the e-book and paperback have been lowered to $3.00 and $5.75. If this cost is prohibitive and you believe that these practices could help please fill out a contact form and request a copy of this book. A PDF will be emailed at no cost with no questions asked.
#3) In addition to that book, on Monday, March 23rd, we will revisit the email exploration ‘Building Your Spiritual Practice During a time of Transition.’ If you would like to receive an email pitching a different spiritual practice every day for two weeks free of charge, please fill out the contact form above.
The next Faith-ing Project Guide will be Contemplating the Enneagram. Samples of spiritual practices assigned to each of the nine types can be foundhere.
Our page with audio files and our page with meditation prompts have been updated! Click here to see our audio file page.
